The Morningside Subdivision is a quiet alcove community of just 12 homes between Little River Turnpike, Rt 50, and the Beltway. Built around the turn of the 21st Century, these modern Colonials sit on beautiful private spacious lots and feature impeccably designed floorplans.
This community’s homes are Colonial architectural design with around 6,000 sqft and 4 to 6 bedrooms and over 4 baths. They feature beautiful green lots with views of nature and not much else! Being only 2 miles from the beltway, these homes manage to feel remarkably relaxed and homey. These would be great homes to live in if you had a dog!
My favorite part of this neighborhood is it’s proximity to the Mosaic District. Mosaic has great options for shopping of all kinds. For groceries, you can visit Target, or you can head to Mom’s Organic Market for healthy and locally grown foods. For shopping, you’ll find primarily local businesses as well as familiar brands, and plenty of boutique shops. Some of my favorites are Great Gatherings, Scout and Molly, Anthropologie, and Lululemon.
Restaurants are where I believe Mosaic really shines. For a quick cup of coffee or a snack, Mom and Pop Coffee is a picturesque shop, frequented by HBC Group’s own Molly Patton. In the evening, their sister store Dolcezza is a great stop for some Gelatto. The list of restaurants is too great to go into detail into each so I’ll list some of my favorites. Jinya Ramen, Ted’s Bulletin, Sister’s Thai, and True Food. If you don’t have the pleasure of living in this community, you owe it to yourself to stop by for dinner!
