Ballston is one of Arlington’s premier neighborhoods. The primary housing comes in the way of Condos and townhomes, of which it has many at varying price points. This neighborhood attracts a lot of development, trendy new shops and restaurants, and businesses. The preeminent reason to live in Ballston is its convenience, centering around the Ballston Metro station.

In Ballston, convenience is key. Many people that live in this neighborhood choose not to own a car. The neighborhood is centered around the Ballston Metro station, part of the orange line that is only 5 stops to Downtown DC. It’s common for Ballstonians to work in DC due to the ease of this commute. You’re also very close to the Custis Trail which is a beautiful segregated trail that connects with the W&OD and takes you into DC. Being inside the beltway, you also have the advantage of having easy access to the surrounding areas. If you’d like to leave town, I95 will take you to both Baltimore and Richmond. You’re also just miles from Reagan Airport, but a short trip to Dulles International as well.

It’s also convenient locally as Ballston has attracted many retail storefronts of all kinds, as well as grocery stores and a farmer’s market on Thursdays! http://freshfarm.org/ballston.html. The newly updated Ballston Quarter center also has some great shops and more is still on the way! When you live in Ballston, there’s often no reason to ever leave.

In the last year, 200 homes have been bought and sold, with only 7 of them being Single Family Homes. They range from as low as $35,000 for space in a Retirement Community, to almost $1.7M for a New Build Townhome. The HBC currently went Under Contract on a property at East View Condominiums in just 3 days! Check out our virtual tour: http://spws.homevisit.com/hvid/257212
