Huckaby Briscoe Group Moves to Keller Williams McLean Office

January 27, 2009

I became partners with Sue Huckaby when we formed the Huckaby Briscoe Group in 2006. When Sue became a McLean realtor in 1977, it was with Shannon & Luchs, a boutique real estate firm. That firm was eventually bought by New Jersey owned and operated Weichert Realtors in 1993. Sue and I met at Trinity United Methodist Church in McLean, and she always said that our partnership was made in heaven. On July 1, 2008, Sue conveyed the company to me and we are saddened when Sue unexpectedly passed away on September 9th of the same year.

Change is the buzz word for 2009, and it can be good if it moves us in the right direction and has the right motives. My decision to unite the Huckaby Briscoe Group with Keller Williams is based on my responsibility to provide the best service for our clients. Keller Williams has a national presence, which increases the visibility of our listings and the opportunity to assist my new clients. Each office is tailored to meet the needs of the local community, because they are locally owned and operated. Additionally, Keller Williams does not charge clients administrative closing fees that other real estate companies do, and each agent can operate their own business with greater flexibility to respond to clients needs in a timely manner.

Keller Williams is forward-thinking in its business model rather than following the way business has always been done. The Huckaby Briscoe Group mirrors that ideal in its own model of serving the client with all the tools available. Keller Williams is on the forefront of technology that focuses on assisting both clients and agents through the real estate process. The Huckaby Briscoe Group wants to be recognized for similar forward steps and the positive direction needed to best serve our clients today. Sue left me an incredible legacy, which will be carried on to greater opportunities with an open mind and dynamic ideas.

You’ll still find our gorgeous home selection advertised on the back cover of Elan magazine and inside the Sun Gazette newspaper, the Connection newspaper & Luxury Home magazine. Further, Marlene Moonshine-Voelker, office manager for the Huckaby Briscoe Group and Tania Hosmer, buyer’s agent for the Huckaby Briscoe Group, will make the move to Keller Williams. The Keller Williams McLean office is located in the heart of downtown at 6820 Elm Street, just down from the post office.

This is a thrilling and positive change for the Huckaby Briscoe Group, and we hope that you share our excitement. As always, please contact us if we can be of assistance in any way from listing your home to providing experienced and sound real estate market advice.

All my best,
Karen Briscoe
