Pausing to Express Thanks!

It is the week of Thanksgiving and in a desire to live a more purposeful live, I am pausing to express thanks! Thank you first and foremost to our clients and customers, the 82 clients that the agents and staff of Huckaby Briscoe Conroy Realty Group with Keller Williams have been given the privilege and pleasure to work with to date in 2013. It is because of our clients and customers that we have a business worth owning and a career worth having! Thank you from all of us that have been given this opportunity to be a part of your life in 2013. Please know that we would consider it an honor to have you as a “customer for life!” We believe in long term relationships and treasure repeat clients.
Thank you to those that I work most closely with on a daily basis. Lizzy, my business partner makes every day a pleasure with her smile and positive can-do attitude. Kristine who keeps me organized and on track, always happy to be of service. And Molly who has made the entire technology side of the business hum with precision. I couldn’t do it without these 3 ladies – nor would I want to.
The Associate Agents on the Huckaby Briscoe Conroy Realty Group are always there to hold an open house and to take care of a potential customer or client. They keep life interesting and make the team feel like a “team”.
Thank you to Sue Huckaby who began her career in real estate in 1977. Sue entrusted me as a partner in 2006 and passed the legacy to me in 2008 right before passing away. It is in her memory that we carry on and yet I would be remiss if I didn’t remember her in giving thanks.
Any real estate agent would not be successful for long without a strong support back office – the Keller Williams in McLean, Virginia is the best as far as I’m concerned! Amina Basic as Team Leader is the best cheerleader there is – encouraging us all to our personal best! Wendy Murray as Broker keeps us all legal and accounted for. Ron Cathell as Operating Principle has our back in more ways than one!
I’m thankful to be a part of Keller Williams the #1 real estate company by agent count. Approximately 80,000 other real estate agents have come to know what I have – Keller Williams is a place that promotes businesses worth owning, careers worth having and lives worth living!
There is a scene in the classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” where the father is sharing with the son that there is a fundamental human need for a home, and their small part in helping people satisfy that need is very meaningful. That to me is the greatest reason that I give thanks this week – that I have been so richly blessed with this opportunity of a profession that is so noble as to help people – thank you.
