The McLean Youth Orchestra (MYO) is one of the premiere orchestral music programs for secondary school students in the Washington, D.C. area.  A not-for-profit McLean based orchestral group established by The McLean Orchestra in 1983, the MYO provides the finest musical education to advanced middle and secondary students and an opportunity to experience the joy of performing a professional repertoire with a full orchestra.

Although the MYO charges annual tuition, these fees do not cover all expenses. They rely on the support of our generous patrons, businesses, foundations and government agencies to help fund the performance program.
“The McLean Youth Orchestra has been invited to perform at the Kennedy Center on May 8th, 2016. This fundraiser will help to make that trip possible and to allow the group to work with talented professional opera singers as they present Mozart’s classic opera, Don Giovanni. Please come and show support for the group at Pulcinella’s on April 12th and then join us for the concert on May 8th at 6pm!”

About HBC Community Charity Champions

The HBC Group of Keller Williams Realty launched Community Charity Champions in 2012 as a venue to fundraise for local nonprofits.  As good corporate citizens, Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were searching for a means to support charities in the community.  The event is held on Tuesday evenings at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean where a portion of the diner(s) is contributed to the charity of the month. Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were honored with the Corporate Social Responsibility award in 2012 by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce for the work HBC’s Community Charity Champions has done and continues to do for nonprofits in the area.

Karen Briscoe is Principal of the Huckaby Briscoe Conroy Group (HBC) and author of "Real Estate Success in 5 Minutes a Day". She is an Associate Broker in Virginia, a Certified Luxury Home Market Specialist, and a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Karen began her real estate career developing residential lots with the Trammel Crow Company in Dallas, and in commercial real estate with The Staubach Company in the Washington, DC Metro area. Karen has a Masters Degree from Southern Methodist University and her BA from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri – her hometown.
