Fundraiser Supporting Country Day School

Join HBC Group's Community Charity Champions to support Country Day School on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Come to Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean from 5 to 8 pm and know that approximately 70% of the proceeds from food and drink will go directly to Country Day School. The Country Day School is dedicated to the education of young children ranging in age from 2 to 6, in a warm and safe environment where they are encouraged to explore, discover, ask questions, and develop a love of learning.  Country Day School is a very special place where nature and nurture come together to offer the very best in early childhood education.

About Country Day School

Country Day School was founded in 1964 by Dorothy B. McCormick.  It sits on three picturesque acres in historic Langley Fork and consists of nine playgrounds, a butterfly garden, nature trail, two education buildings a nature room, STEAM lab, library and heated swimming pool.  The foundation of the educational program at Country Day School is an early childhood developmentally play based curriculum.  Country Day School is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), as well as certified as a Schoolyard Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

About HBC Community Charity Champions

To date, Community Charity Champions has raised over $74,000 for the local non-profits and organizations.  The HBC Group of Keller Williams Realty launched Community Charity Champions in 2012 as a venue to fundraise for local nonprofits.  As good corporate citizens Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were searching for a means to support charities in the community.  The event Is held on Tuesday evenings at Pulcinella Itailian Host in McLean where a portion of the diner(s) is contributed to the charity of the month.  Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were honored with the Corporate Social Responsibility award in 2012 by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce for the HBCs Community Charity Champions has done and continues to do for nonprofits in the area.

 

Karen Briscoe is Principal of the Huckaby Briscoe Conroy Group (HBC) and author of "Real Estate Success in 5 Minutes a Day". She is an Associate Broker in Virginia, a Certified Luxury Home Market Specialist, and a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Karen began her real estate career developing residential lots with the Trammel Crow Company in Dallas, and in commercial real estate with The Staubach Company in the Washington, DC Metro area. Karen has a Masters Degree from Southern Methodist University and her BA from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri – her hometown.
