Where We Live: Hamptons of McLean

The Hamptons of McLean is a large townhome neighborhood which consists of over 120 homes in McLean, 22101. The community sits just off Old Dominion Dr, just minutes from Downtown McLean and all the great things we have to offer here. The community offers two architectural styles of townhomes, built in the 1980’s.

The contemporary, more modern architectural style feature vaulted ceilings and one-car garages and were built by Georgelas.  The spacious more traditional architecture townhomes were built by NV Homes. The Hamptons of McLean is the only inside the beltway townhome community in McLean that offers the amenity of a community outdoor swimming pool. Open in the summer months, the pool and grounds offer a wonderful recreational amenity for the residents and their guests. The homes typically have three or four levels and range from 2100 square feet to 2700 square feet. Outdoor home living is either a deck off of the main level or a Georgetown patio on the ground level.

The schools for this neighborhood are some of the best in Virginia and the Nation. Residents attend the McLean School Pyramid which includes either Franklin Sherman or Kent Gardens Elementary Schools, Longfellow Middle, and McLean High School.

The two major thru-roads to Downtown McLean are Old Dominion Dr and Chain Bridge Rd, and this neighborhood sits right off Old Dominion Dr, less than a half mile away from Chain Bridge. There are plenty of great things to do here, including coming to see me at our office at 6820 Elm Street! Keep an eye out for our monthly Community Charity Champions event at Pulcinella Italian Host also in downtown McLean. If you’re looking for a quick lunch, I enjoy stopping by Sweet Leaf Café for their excellent make your own style salads. For a more formal occasion, I recommend Capri Ristorante Italiano or J. Gilberts. Assaggi Osteria which is located a short walk across Old Dominion just opened a Neapolitan pizzeria as well as serves other Italian Classics.  If you want to cook at home, you can pick up groceries at Balducci’s, Giant Food, and stop by The Organic Butcher for a steak.

Homes in this community typically sell in the mid-$800’s to as high as $1,275,000. The HBC Group at KW will soon list 6636 Hamptons View Place. Please check back soon for listing details!
