Where We Live: Restons Quail Ridge neighborhood

Reston is one of Northern Virginia’s premier cities. It is a Planned Community founded in 1964 and home to more than 58,000 people. Within this community, there are many great smaller neighborhoods that one can choose to live including Quail Ridge, which includes Quail Ridge Ct and Quail Ridge Dr. This community of 55 single family homes built in the 1980’s is one of the prettiest neighborhood in north Reston.  It sits very near both North Point Village Center for shopping and Baron Cameron Park for leisure. It also enjoys the proximity to Reston Town Center which means you’ll never have to leave Reston if you don't want to. If you do want to leave Reston, there are countless nearby amenities including Tyson’s Corner, Wolf Trap, and DC just a short metro-ride away.

Reston Town Center is one of the main attractions of this community. It’s home to trendy shops, great restaurants, and a fair amount of office space. The Center is focused around Fountain Square, which operates as an event space for outdoor concerts in the summer and an Ice Rink in the winter. There are plenty of nearby ways to spend some nice time outside. The Quail Ridge neighborhood has many bike and walking paths to access the W&OD trail, Baron Cameron Park, North Hills and Lake Newport Tennis Courts and the multiple swimming pools that are part of the Reston amenities.  The Reston Farmers Market which is open from May through November is a short walk or bike ride away in the Lake Anne Village Center.

If you’d like to travel further out Great Falls Park can be accessed within 10 minutes of Quail Ridge neighborhood and is best enjoyed for hiking along the trails of the Potomac River. Or you can drive or metro to Tysons area where there are some of the best shopping anywhere around. It’s also home to some amazing restaurants. You’re only a short trip to downtown DC where you can take a look around Georgetown or catch a Caps game!   Reston is ideally located minutes from Dulles International Airport and already has one Metro stop. Soon it will have two!
