Herndon Park Station is a small cluster of just 11 homes located at the intersection of Park Ave, Station St. and Monroe St in the Historic Town of Herndon. Ten of the homes were built in 1999, with one circa 1925. This neighborhood has a rich and charming history near a vibrant and active community. It is a few short blocks to The Town of Herndon where local retail, restaurants and salons are within walking distance.  And it is still just 22 miles from DC and all that is available to enjoy there.

The Town of Herndon has an abundance of local activities and amenities. On Thursday mornings there’s the Herndon Farmers Market on Lynn St. The location is just minutes from the Herndon Community Center and Herndon Centennial Golf Course which are both well maintained and open to the public with discounts for residents. This community has an incredible selection of nearby parks with a full list here:

Residents of Herndon Park Station are also a few short blocks from the amazing 44.7 mile long Washington and Old Dominion Trail, better known as the W&OD.  It is a rails to trails path that traverses from Purcellville all the way to Shirlington in Arlington and is enjoyed by bikers, runners, and rollerbladers alike.

Development in Herndon is growing with the anticipation of the Herndon Metro Station opening in 2020.  Downtown Herndon will also be experiencing a redevelopment project to break ground sometime in 2019.  An Arts Center and mix of residential and retail will be included in the project, and will add to the already vibrant downtown scene which includes restaurants like Red Kimono, Zeffirelli and Russia House as well as retailers Herndon Florist, Great Harvest Bread, Maude Salon and Green Lizard Cycling.

Should you choose the W&OD or the highways, you have quick and easy access to amenities like Tysons Corner, the town of Vienna, Wolf Trap and if you want to skip town, you are close to nearby Dulles International Airport. Tysons Corner and Tysons Galleria are some of the most highly regarded shopping malls in the country with restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.
