This community combines an excellent location, within the Beltway, with quieter living. This neighborhood is nestled conveniently between 495, 66, Rt 7, and Lee Hwy and without any retail locations or schools in the direct vicinity means this area primarily gets traffic from residents. Another perk is its access to the W&OD trail. A 40+ mile path that intersects Vienna, Falls Church, Arlington, Alexandria, and can take you into DC.
The two primary nearby destinations for residents is Falls Church City and the Mosaic District, both fewer than 3 miles away. Falls Church City is home to one of my favorite coffee places, Rare Bird, and some great bars and restaurants like Mad Fox and the more recent addition of Northside Social! The Mosaic District is a very modern community. In the warmer months, there’s a great farmers market on Sundays and they regularly have Saturday morning cartoons and Yoga on Saturday mornings on the green.
As with any neighborhood inside the Beltway, this community has great access to transportation. You’re within 3 miles to both the West Falls Church and Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro Stations. You’re able to take 66 for a quick trip into the city or out to the suburbs. 495 gives you access to many major roads. Route 7 and Lee Hwy worm their way through Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church and are home to countless great retail spots.
