Where We Live: The Village at West Falls Church Metro

The Village at West Falls Church Metro is a condo community of 117 units minutes from the West Falls Church Metro Station on the Orange Line. These condos differ from your typical condo in that they’re primarily two bedroom, two or two and a half bathroom units that more resemble townhomes than a condo building. This neighborhood enjoys proximity to Falls Church, Metro access, proximity to major throughways, proximity to the W&OD, and more.

The West Falls Church Metro Station is on the Orange Line. This metro is most notably known for being at the median of Rt 7 and I66. My favorite benefit to this neighborhood is its proximity to Falls Church City. The City of Falls Church is known as The Little City and is my pick for most charming area inside the Beltway. It features great restaurants like, Clare and Don’s Beach Shack, Spacebar, and Northside Social just opened a new location nearby.  Lazy Mike’s Deli is  a sister to Clare and Don’s and named for my friend Mike Beyer, proprietor of Beyer Auto on Route 7.  You’ll also find great stores like Brown’s Hardware, Road Runner Sports, and Bikenetic which is my go-to spot for bike maintenance!

Another benefit of this community is it adjacency to the new Virginia Tech satellite campus and WMATA redevelopment that you can read more about here: https://www.tysonsreporter.com/2019/01/09/new-mixed-use-hub-proposed-at-west-falls-church-metro/. Speaking of new developments in the area, ground has broken on Founders Row which is a new mixed-use community, similar in style to Merrifield’s Mosaic District. For more information, see here: https://patch.com/virginia/fallschurch/founders-row-breaks-ground-falls-church. This area is booming - Now’s the time to buy!

As with any neighborhood inside the Beltway, this community has great access to transportation if you opt not to use the adjacent metro. You’re able to take 66 for a quick trip into the city or out to the suburbs. 495 gives you access to many major roads. Route 7 and Lee Hwy worm their way through Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church and are home to countless great retail spots. Also, if you’d rather not use car OR metro, you’re just minutes from the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) trail that travel out past Vienna to Purcellville and all the way to either Mount Vernon to the south or into DC to the east!
