Join us to support the Falls Church - McLean Children’s Center on Tuesday, April 09, 2019 with HBC Group's Communnity Charity Champions. Enjoy dinner at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean from 5 to 8pm to support The Falls Church - McLean Children’s Center, and know that approximately 70% of the proceeds from food and drink will go directly to FCMLCC, as long as the diner brings the flyer for the event. For half a century, The Children’s Center has been providing an affordable, high-quality, year-round early education to children from low- and moderate income, working families. The nationally accredited preschool, located in a dedicated wing of Lemon Road Elementary School, each year guides 80 children, ages 2-5, to develop the full range of skills they need to be ready to achieve when they start kindergarten. The nonprofit, nondenominational preschool was established by members of 20 area faith groups to meet the need for affordable, full-time child care in 1968.
“This event will help us to provide an affordable, yet enriching early education program, with all the components that help young children build their fundamental skills,” explained Crystal F. Jean, Children’s Center Executive Director.
Sponsors of the event are: Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy with the HBC Group of Keller Williams Realty, Marcus Simon with EKKO Title, Kevin Dougherty of Pillar to Post, Kathy and Justin Neal of The Neal Team/SunTrust Mortgage, Jim Harris of BOWA, The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, and Moe Jebal with Pulcinella Italian Host.
About HBC Community Charity Champions
To date, Community Charity Champions has raised more than $90,000 for local non-profits and organizations. The HBC Group of Keller Williams Realty launched Community Charity Champions in 2012 as a venue to fundraise for local nonprofits. As good corporate citizens, Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were searching for a means to support charities in the community. The event is held on Tuesday evenings at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean where a portion of the diner(s) is contributed to the charity of the month. Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were honored with the Corporate Social Responsibility award in 2012 by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce for the work HBC’s Community Charity Champions has done and continues to do for nonprofits in the area.
