McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) is a non-profit visual arts organization founded in 1962 to exhibit the work of emerging and established regional artists. Today MPA offers 15 high quality, professionally-curated art exhibitions each year, and more than 165 visuals arts courses, and workshops year round for people of all ages. Through its partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools, MPA’s award-winning ArtReach program brings students, seniors and those with special needs to its galleries to learn about the exhibited artwork and to create art. MPA also provides its ArtReach program in area schools and community centers serving seniors and those with special needs. Summer Art Camps and MPAartfest (happening this fall on Sunday, October 6, 2019), both provide outstanding STEAM experiences helping young minds connect art with science, technology, engineering and math learning.
"MPA is excited and honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of this longstanding community event," said Lori Carbonneau, Executive Director of McLean Project for the Arts. "Funds and awareness raised through the Pulcinella dinner will help MPA continue exhibiting, educating, and inspiring. This support is crucial to helping us grow our outstanding visual arts programs. We are incredibly grateful to HBC Group's Community Charity Champions for affording us this opportunity."
Sponsors of the event are: Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy with the HBC Group / Keller Williams Realty, Marcus Simon with EKKO Title, Kevin Dougherty of Pillar to Post, Kathy and Justin Neal of The Neal Team/SunTrust Mortgage, Jim Harris of BOWA, The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, and Moe Jebali with Pulcinella Italian Host.

About HBC Community Charity Champions
To date, Community Charity Champions has raised more than $90,000 for local non-profits and organizations. HBC Group of Keller Williams Realty launched Community Charity Champions in 2012 as a venue to fundraise for local nonprofits. As good corporate citizens, Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were searching for a means to support charities in the community. The event is held on Tuesday evenings at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean where a portion of the diner(s) is contributed to the charity of the month. Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy were honored with the Corporate Social Responsibility award in 2012 by the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce for the work HBC’s Community Charity Champions has done and continues to do for nonprofits in the area.
