Within only 1 stoplight to the Chain Bridge, Chesterbrook Woods is a desired subdivision for its proximity to Arlington and DC as well as its tree-lined streets and rolling hills.  The neighborhood features a blend of classic styles such as colonials and split-levels along with a number of new homes. The natural beauty that surrounds the neighborhood offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia.

Chesterbrook Woods is centrally located, with access to the nearby metro, shopping, and dining. Nearby Chesterbrook Shopping Center offers Starbucks, Safeway, and a host of popular stores while downtown McLean is just 3 miles away, featuring multiple coffee houses, specialty shops and restaurants. Ballston Quarter is 4 miles away, providing unique dining options, while Clarendon is only 5 miles away, ideal for a night out. Burgeoning Tysons is just 6 miles away, featuring world class dining and shopping, Capital One Hall, several movie theaters, and various outdoor entertainment venues.

The neighborhood enjoys the benefit of the Chesterbrook Woods Citizens Association (CWCA), a volunteer based group that welcomes new neighbors to the neighborhood, plans lots of fun events, organizes community get togethers and keeps neighbors informed of important civic information.  The CWCA also arranges for additional snow plowing in the winter on top of what Fairfax County administers during storms.  It maintains a neighbors’ directory, and there are many committees to get involved with based on your interests - reading, bridge, playdates, event planning, or the environment.

There are plenty of transportation and travel options at your fingertips. The neighborhood is near a number of commuter routes, including the GW Parkway, Chain Bridge Rd (Rt. 123), I-495, and I-66.  The East Falls Church metro is 3.8 miles away, and Reagan National Airport is 10 miles away. In addition, there are several parks nearby, including Glebe Road Park, Fort Marcy, and Potomac Overlook Regional Park. With close access to the Potomac River, residents can also enjoy kayaking, biking, and boating.

Fairfax County is recognized for its highly rated public school system. Students living in Chesterbrook Woods attend Chesterbrook Elementary, Longfellow Middle, and McLean High School. There are also a number of private schools located nearby, whether you choose Northern Virginia, DC or suburban MD.  When it comes to living in a quiet neighborhood close to the city, Chesterbrook Woods is it!

HBC Group’s Lizzy Conroy listed 1519 Forest Ln in September 2022.   The home sold for $2,100,000 in October 2022.  The property is .78-acre and has lush, picturesque views.  With 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, hardwood floors throughout and a screened-in porch, this home has all the charm of Chesterbrook Woods.
