Where We Live: Hickory Creek and Lexington Estates
Nestled in a convenient location just south of Great Falls Village and north of Route 7, Hickory Creek and Lexington Estates are established neighborhoods with well-kept homes, mature trees, and quiet streets. Neighbors can often be found chatting on the street while the peals of laughter from children playing fill the air. There are many trails to explore in the neighborhood, with ample common grounds and parkland. There are even two ponds to enjoy nature as blue herons keep watch.
The village of Great Falls is a quick drive from the Hickory Creek and Lexington Estates neighborhoods and provides a plethora of dining options and services. The Old Brogue, a community staple, has been welcoming neighbors old and new for over 40 years. While Bites, one of the newest establishments is impressing neighbors with their wine and grilled cheese pairings. From dining to banking to groceries, completing errands is a snap.
While idyllic in nature these neighborhoods are also a commuter’s dream with easy access to Georgetown Pike, Route 7, and the Toll Road. The Whiele Center Station on the Silver Line provides metro access to Arlington and DC (and soon Dulles Airport). The exciting commercial areas of Reston and Tysons Corner with award winning restaurants and theaters are also literally “just down the road”. So, whether you choose to shop your heart out in the Tysons or watch the wildlife at Great Falls National Park and Scott’s Run, this neighborhood has you covered.
The location of Hickory Creek and Lexington Estates allows easy access not only for business and recreational events, but for school access as well. Fairfax County continues to be nationally ranked year after year with their public-school systems. This neighborhood feeds into Colvin Run Elementary, Cooper Middle and Langley High School, all of which are at the top of the charts for the public-school education systems.
With such close proximity to our nation's capital, people are constantly moving to this area. Houses fly off the market and anytime is a great time to buy or sell.
