Welcome to Parker-Gray Historic District in Old Town Alexandria, one of Northern Virginia’s most popular destinations with it’s convenient location to Washington DC, Ronald Reagan Airport and  Amazon’s new HQ2.

The Parker Gray District is located within a 40-block area west of Washington Street and is in the northwest quadrant of Old Town Alexandria.  It has a rich cultural history dating back hundreds of years. Nestled within the charm of bright colored row homes, some dating back to the late 1800’s, the Parker-Gray District is named for the Parker Gray School which opened in 1920. The school was named in commemoration of John Parker and Sarah Gray who had been principals of two segregated schools in Alexandria during the latter part of the 19th century

Old Town Alexandria is situated close to the Potomac River and the setting is one of the most notable in the Washington DC region. With locally owned cafés, restaurants and boutiques along the waterfront and King Street, there is no shortage of activities for locals and tourists alike. Transportation options include 2 Metro stations, Braddock Road and King Street, bike trails and the water taxi to National Harbor, the Wharf or Georgetown.

This neighborhood is also nearby to local favorites like Blue & White Carry Out featuring Southern comfort food, Mason Social offering mouth-watering brunch items, and Bastille Brasserie & Bar serving savory French cuisine. Get fit at the nearby Zweet Sport Hot Yoga & Total Fitness or 532 Yoga. Or, stock up on groceries at Trader Joes, Balducci’s or Whole Foods just blocks away. There’s even a USPS a block away. Everything is at your fingertips here!
