Where We Live: Ruckers Langley

Ruckers Langley is a community of 45 Single Family Homes located just minutes from Downtown McLean and the George Washington Parkway. This neighborhood sits off Dolley Madison Blvd and runs in between Kings Manor and Walter Heights Community. Originally built in the later 50’s and early  60’s, these homes have plenty of history and with their prime location is a hotspot for grand New Builds.

The neighborhood feels more homey and suburban than you’d expect for it’s amazing location. The McLean Community Center, Dolley Madison Library, and McLean Central Park are very close by. If you're looking for a quick lunch, I enjoy stopping by Sweet Leaf Café for their excellent make your own style salads. For a more formal occasion, I recommend Capri Ristorante Italiano or J. Gilberts. Assaggi Osteria which is located a short walk across Old Dominion just opened a Neapolitan pizzeria as well as serves other Italian Classics. If you want to cook at home, you can pick up groceries at Balducci's, Giant Food, and stop by The Organic Butcher for a steak.

In 2020, 7 properties sold in this community. 4 of the 7 sales were land or new builds. As the neighborhood changes, there are homes that are still selling, but mostly because they are updated or renovated. HBC Group sold 6621 Claymore Ct off market for $1,280,000, a 1959 Split Foyer home that had been recently renovated.. Visit here for more information about the property.
