Bring this Flyer September 9th to Support the Children’s Science Center!

The Children’s Science Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to creating a world-class, interactive children’s museum in Northern Virginia. Our mission is to instill a love of learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in all children by providing unique opportunities to explore, create, and be inspired.

“The Children’s Science Center is honored to be selected as a beneficiary of HBC Realty Group’s Community Charity Champions fundraising event,” said Nene Spivy, Executive Director. “HBC Realty Group’s community leadership makes all the difference as we seek to raise funds, friends and general awareness around our efforts to bring hands-on STEM learning experiences to area children. The funds raised will support our Museum without Walls mobile education outreach programs as well as the planning and design of our Phase II first-operating site, The Lab at Fair Oaks Mall, and Phase III, the full-scale museum to be built in Dulles, VA.”

Sponsors of the event are: Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy with the HBC Realty Group of Keller Williams Realty, The Simmons Team of George Mason Mortgage LLC, Betty Sparkman and Chris Lara of Reveal Remodel, Kevin Dougherty of Pillar to Post Home Inspections, Marcus Simon with EKKO Title, and Moe Jebali of Pulcinella Italian Host.

About Children’s Science Center

The Children’s Science Center is committed to creating a world-class, interactive children’s museum in Northern Virginia.  In May 2014, The Center announced phased development plans for a 5,400-square-foot operating site, named The Lab, to be established at Fair Oaks Mall in Virginia in May 2015. The Lab will be an educational and fun space where the region’s families, school groups, and educators can learn about and experience science, technology, engineering, and math. The Lab will also be a precursor and idea-incubator for the planned 50,000 square foot, full-scale Children’s Science Center that will be built in the Kincora district in the Dulles area (opening in 2019).

Today, our Museum Without Walls programs bring hands-on science activities to thousands of area children each year, allowing us to fulfill our mission even before our doors open: to instill a love of learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in all children by providing unique opportunities to explore, create, and be inspired.  The Children’s Science Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Learn more: www.ChildSci.org  Follow us on Twitter www.twitter.com/ChildSci   and Facebook  www.facebook.com/ChildrensScienceCenter.
