Fundraiser Supporting the Brooksfield School

A fundraiser for the Brooksfield School has been announced by HBC Realty Group’s (Keller Williams Realty) Community Charity Champions.  Come to dinner on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 5 to 8pm at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean to support the Brooksfield School!  Enjoy dinner and know that approximately 60% of the proceeds from food and drink will go to the charity, as long as the diner brings the flyer for the event.  Contact HBC Realty Group at 703-734-0192.

The Brooksfield School encourages children to be confident in who they are and who they are becoming. With the belief that we are all individuals with unique gifts and talents, educators have the joy of helping each child discover the sense of wonder that lies within. Everyday provides a range of opportunities for children to grow into their potential and to express themselves in a natural, spontaneous fashion.

“The money raised will be put towards the purchase of new science material and equipment for the science lab that the school opened this year,” said  Sarah Krawchuk, Director of Admissions for the Brooksfield School.  “Our early elementary school students are enjoying learning about anatomy through the dissection of frogs, as well as exploring the microscope, learning how simple machines work and so much more.   We very much appreciate support from local businesses like the HBC Realty Group of Keller Williams.”

Sponsors of the event are: Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy with the HBC Realty Group of Keller Williams Realty, Richard Moroscak with EagleBank, Marcus Simon with EKKO Title, Frank Vorndran with MorganStanley SmithBarney, and Moe Jebali with Pulcinella Italian Host.

About the Brooksfield School

Founded in 1987 by Mary Anne Duffus and her talented colleagues, the Brooksfield School offers a Montessori curriculum enhanced by the power of discovery through the arts and great outdoors. The school is dedicated to providing a loving, stimulating and creative environment to nurture and develop abilities within Self Confidence, Independent Thinking, Love of Learning, Respect for Oneself, Others, and the Environment, Taking Risks, Curiosity, Imagination, and Observation and Listening Skills. The school is also committed to promoting sustainability, from the classroom to the playground. As they gain more knowledge and implement green practices, the school shares that knowledge with the students and families. The school’s aim is to create healthy, eco-friendly learning environments for children while instilling in them the importance of environmental stewardship. Brooksfield is founded on the belief that learning happens through the joys of mutual friendships, stimulating experiences and self-discovery.
