Fundraiser Supporting Friends of Clemyjontri
November 5, 2012 in McLean, VA
McLean, VA. – A fundraiser for Friends of Clemyjontri has been announced by HBC Realty Group’s Community Charity Champions. Come to dinner on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 5 to 8pm at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean to support Friends of Clemyjontri! Enjoy dinner and know that approximately 60% of the proceeds from food and drink will go to the charity, as long as the diner brings the flyer for the event.
Clemyjontri Park is Virginia’s first all-accessible playground, built so that all children can play side-by-side without differentiation or limitations. The 5-acre playground’s centerpiece is its carousel, which features 14 moving horses alongside chairs for riders in wheelchairs. The playground’s equipment is designed and installed so that all can play.
“Friends of Clemyjontri, Inc. shares HBC’s commitment to our community’s organizations and appreciates its support for Clemyjontri Park in particular. The playground attracts over 200,000 visitors annually, so the site and its equipment are constantly in need of maintenance and repair – a huge expense. In fact, 100% of all funds raised go directly into the playground. Donations to the Friends of Clemyjontri , Inc. help keep Clemy in pristine condition and supplement its continual improvements,” said Juliann Clemente, President of Friends of Clemyjontri, Inc.
Sponsors of the event are: Karen Briscoe and Lizzy Conroy with the HBC Realty Group, Richard Moroscak with EagleBank, Marcus Simon with EKKO Title, Frank Vorndran with MorganStanley SmithBarney, and Moe Jebali with Pulcinella Italian Host.
About Friends of Clemyjontri
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Friends of Clemyjontri, Inc. was founded to raise money and provide financial support for Clemyjontri Park’s needs outside of the Fairfax County budget. The park is a dream of its benefactor, Mrs. Adele Lebowitz, who envisioned this playground and park and generously donated the 18-acre property.
